The police command in the Ashanti Region has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of Otumfuo’s Asamponhene.
Nana Kwadwo Afordour was murdered by some armed men on the Ejura-Nkoransa highway near a village called Ebuom on Sunday, 18 August 2019 around 4:30 p.m. in the Ashanti Region.
The police believe the late chief’s body was deposited at the back seat of his Toyota Land Cruiser after the act.
Deputy Regional Police Commander, ACP David Agyemang Adjem, who confirmed the arrest of the three in an interview with Class News’ Ashanti Regional correspondent Elisha Adarkwah, said investigations are still underway.
Meanwhile, the Kyedomhene to the late Asamponhene, Nana Kwabena Bonsu has said the chief was on his way to collect some money from the Ejura chief when he was murdered.
