President Akufo-Addo has advised Ghanaians against acts that will endanger their lives during the celebration of the Christmas festivities.
“Let us celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ safely and responsibly and avoid doing anything that will put our lives and the lives of our loved ones in harm’s ways. Let us be a blessing on the lives of those in need and through our actions bring good cheer to all.”
Akufo-Addo gave this advice in a Christmas message on Tuesday evening.
The President used the opportunity to touch on a number of issues including the Year of Return initiative by welcoming diasporans into the country and some of the highlights of the year.
“Ghana is certainly the place to be this December and I hope you enjoy the famed warm Ghanaian hospitality and proud colourful heritage. When you leave I’m sure you’ll take with you the splendid memories that will enhance further our common identity as black people. You always have a home here with us.”
