The Awutu Senya East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Michael Mensah has described the shooting incident at Awutu Ofaakor has unfortunate and disturbing.
He has assured residents the security agencies in the area will investigate and deal with the perpetrators of the offence.
Four persons have been hospitalised after they were shot following arguments over the burial place of one of the chiefs in the Kasoa community, Akyeamehene Kwadwo Amoasu II.
Rainbow Radio’s Nana Yaw Asdare reported that the incident which occurred Saturday evening at the palace of the chief of Awutu Ofaakor Nai Odupong Awushie Tetteh II left the victims in critical conditions.
The MCE commenting on the incident said some suspects have been arrested including a police corporal, Michael Larbi from the Homicide unit
He said, the police corporal is suspected to be the leader of the group that attacked the people, but we want to investigate and unravel the truth.
