Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has affirmed the Ghana Police Service's preparedness to ensure security during the December 7 general elections.
Speaking at an event organized by the Christian Council of Ghana on July 4, Dr. Dampare emphasized the police's proactive and institutionalized approach to election security.
He highlighted the success of past elections, including internal party elections, as evidence of their readiness.
Dr. Dampare assured Ghanaians of a peaceful electoral process, stressing the importance of professionalism and conflict de-escalation to maintain national peace and security.
