Stand-in Accra Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey believes he is producing the best form of his time with the Phobians.
Abbey, currently one of the long-serving players in the current Hearts team, has been with the side since the 2011/12 season when he arrived from Windy Professionals.
His is eye-catching performance in the 1-0 victory over AshantiGold at the Len Clay Stadium on match-day 11 earned him the man-of-the-match award.
Speaking after the game, the 24-year-old said: “this season I’m performing and I thank God for that
“I can say I’m in my best form since donning this Hearts shirt. I’m praying I can continue to be superb throughout the season.”
Hearts of Oak, who started the season not so well, recorded their first successive victories in the game on Saturday, an achievement the winger says was buoyed by the team's performance in midweek against Bechem United.
"I believe the catalyst for this win was the 4-2 win we recorded against Bechem United on Wednesday, " Abbey stated.
Hearts of Oak, now 5th on the log with 18 points, will host new boys Elmina Sharks in a match-day 12 fixture on Sunday April, 16.
