Aduana Stars coach, Yussif Abubakar rues the missed chances by his side in their 1-1 draw against struggling Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a match week 13 clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Kotoko have struggled to replicate their early season form and since parting ways with Croatian trainer, Zdravko Logarusic who was accused for the side’s poor run of form – are yet to record a win.
A determined Aduana Stars took an early lead through Sam Adams before the Porcupine Warriors equalised after the interval break through Abass Mohammed.
Coach Abubakar who was satisfied with the result though admitted disappointment with the poor conversion rating of his side.
“seeing the selection of Kotoko, we knew they were fielding a lot of midfielders – specifically five, so we had to exploit the flanks and that is exactly what we did and that yielded in the goal, Abubakar told the press.
“After that we missed lot of goal scoring chances created and Kotoko took advantage to come back strong from recess and deservedly equalised,” he added.
Aduana Stars with this result remained in second place but three points adrift leader’s, WAFA.
