Alhaji Grusah slams GFA leadership, accuses Kurt Okraku of prioritizing personal gain over national interests
Alhaji Karim Grusah, owner of King Faisal Football Club, has sharply criticized Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku, accusing his administration of prioritizing personal and financial interests over national football progress.
Grusah’s comments follow the Black Stars’ failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), their first absence in 20 years.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Grusah labeled Okraku’s leadership as selfish, driven by favoritism and an agency agenda. He alleged the administration focuses on selecting players to boost their market value for personal gain, sidelining merit-based decisions.
As Ghana shifts its attention to World Cup qualifiers, Grusah’s critique highlights mounting frustration among football stakeholders over the GFA’s perceived mismanagement and the declining performance of the Black Stars.
