Jupiler Pro League giants Anderlecht are exploring the possibility of making a bid for PSV defender Derrick Luckassen, footballghana.com can exclusively report.
The 24-year-old joined Anderlecht on loan in the summer of 2019 and after making 18 appearances, the Belgian side are eager to make his move permanent.
Footballghana.com understands that in the loan deal, Eredivisie side PSV included a purchase option worth close to 5 million euros. Anderlecht do not want to pay that amount due to the negative impact of the coronavirus and will make a lower offer. PSV will be inclined to take the deal as they deem Luckassen surplus to requirements.
Luckassen revealed to De Telegraaf earlier this year that he does not want to return to the Dutch club.
"I keep all options open to myself, except going back to PSV. That is no longer an option for me. I don't feel at home with PSV."
Derrick is currently contracted to PSV until 2022.
