Ghana international, Andre Ayew says he is elated after finding the back of the net to help his Swansea City side defeat Sheffield Wednesday today.
The attacker was in action for the Swans earlier today when his team played as a host to their Matchday 41 opponent in the English Championship at the Liberty Stadium.
Andre Ayew found the back of the net from the penalty spot in the second half to double the lead for Swansea City after teenager Rhian Brewster had shot the side into the lead in the first half.
Though Atdhe Nuhiu grabbed a consolation for Sheffield Wednesday in added time, it was not enough as Swansea City cruised to an important win in the English Championship.
In a Twitter post after the win, Andre Ayew has expressed his delight to scoring as he stresses the importance of the victory.
“Always good to score but most importantly 3 points.. still in we keep going! love to see my bro Mike back”, the Black Stars captain said in his post.
Ayew has now scored 14 goals in the Championship this season on top of his 6 assists.
