Ghana captain Andre Ayew is hoping the Black Stars will begin their quest for qualification for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations against South Africa on a winning note.
The four time African champions will host Bafana Bafana on Thursday at the Cape Coast Stadium before traveling to face São Tomé four days later.
Speaking to reporters after the team’s first training session in Accra on Monday, Ayew stressed the importance of getting a positive result in their Group C opener.
“We have to make sure we start this qualification series really well so we are preparing for this game against South Africa on Thursday,” the Swansea City star said.
