Ghana’s national team captain Asamoah Gyan has congratulated President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo for his victory in the December 7 polls.
In a tweet, the Saudi Arabian-based footballer wished the new president well and prayed for God’s guidance for him.

Gyan also congratulated President John Dramani Mahama for conceding defeat, saying he will go down in the history books of Ghana.

Nana Akufo-Addo beat six other candidates including President Mahama to become the president-elect of Ghana until he is sworn in on January 7 to become the substantive president.
