AshantiGold majority shareholder Dr Kwaku Frimpong says he has asked the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to look into his side's humiliating 6-1 defeat at WAFA last Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
Dr Frimpong, affectionately called Champion, suspects his players threw the match away for betting purposes.
He also alleges that somebody hinted him at the WAFA Stadium when his side were being pummelled.
The defeat is AshGold's worst in Premier League history.
"I have told the BNI to investigate it. I sense elements of betting in the game. Even at the stadium, someone hinted it. My midfielders were walking throughout the game."
