GHANASoccernet.com understands AshantiGold are set to appoint former player CK Akunnor as their new head coach.
AshGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo is in Accra to finalize a deal with the ex-Ghana captain to replace Bashir Hayford who quit two weeks ago.
If both parties reach a deal, Akunnor will be announced as their new coach on Tuesday.
Akunnor has been in-charge of Dreams FC the past three years and managed them in the Premier League last term.
He played for AshantiGold between 1990 and 1992 before securing a move to Germany.
