Schalke O4 head coach, Domenico Tedesco says Abdul Baba Rahman will need time to make the squad.
The defender has been off from the field due to due to an injury he suffered during the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
The former Dreams FC defender has been training for the past two months having recovered from his setback.
However, Baba is yet to make a competitive appearance since making a return from injury.
But Tedesco says the Ghanaian international needs time to before he can get into his first-team squad.
“Baba Rahman needs time but he’s working extremely hard," he said.
"We need to have him at 100% before he can be in the matchday squad,” he added.
Chelsea loaned Baba Rahman to the German giant for the next eighteen months.
