The National Sports Authority (NSA) has confirmed that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium is 70% ready to host Ghana's AFCON qualifier against Sudan in October.
This update came during the NSA's appearance before Parliament's Youth, Sports, and Culture Committee on September 25.
NSA Board Chairman Seth Panwum noted that major renovations on the pitch are progressing well and may meet CAF's standards for the match.
Panwum defended renting the stadium for events like church services to generate revenue but stressed the need for additional funding to maintain the stadium and protect the pitch.
