Defender Faustina Ampah has undergone a successful knee surgery and would be out of action for six months.
The Black Queens and FK Minsk player has been injured since the Africa Women's Cup of Nations last December but had a surgery last week to correct the defect.
She is expected to make full recovery in the coming months.
The 22-year old expressed delighted after a successful surgery and is confident of making a strong return from the setback.
“I have successfully undergone my surgery on my left knee, on Wednesday, thanks to everyone who has assisted me with prayers and goodwill messages,” she wrote on social media.
Ampah has been a key member of the Black Queens and starred when the team won the WAFU Cup of Nations last year in Ivory Coast.
