Ghana's U20 national team coach, Desmond Ofei, praised forward Jerry Afriyie, calling him a "hungry and humble lad" after his impressive performance at the 2024 WAFU B U20 Championship.

The Thoughts FC player earned accolades as both the tournament's Best Player and Top Scorer in the recently concluded event in Togo.
