Coach Otto Addo has called up Kamaradini Mamudu (Medeama SC), Ebenezer Abban (Heart of Lions), and Jerry Afriyie (Thought FC) to the Black Stars squad for the upcoming AFCON qualifier against Niger, due to injuries to key players including Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and captain Jordan Ayew.
Mamudu, a right back, has played 9 games for Medeama SC, scoring 2 goals. Abban has been a solid defender for Heart of Lions, playing 975 minutes in 11 matches.
Afriyie, a standout youth player, was a gold medalist at the 2024 African Games and top scorer in the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations.
The trio will train on Sunday and be assessed for Monday's match, scheduled for 4 p.m. at Accra Sports Stadium.
