Ghana's senior male team, the Black Stars missed out on the CAF male national team shortlist for this year's Awards.
The Black Stars currently ranked 51 failed to make the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and wasn't impressive in the year under review.
By virtue of this, Ghana could not make the list which includes; Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
The winner of the award will be announced on January 8, 2019 at an awards night to be held in Dakar, Senegal.
Ghana will be hoping to impress in the coming year for a possible nomination in the 2019 awards.
The Black Stars are in a pole position to make the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which will be staged in Cameroon.
Meanwhile, Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has made the 34-man shortlist for the African Footballer of the year award. Partey has been impressive for both club and country and his inclusion doesn't come as a surprise to many.
