President Bush found today stood at home plate in a tiny ballfield at Ghana International School.
Bush exclaimed: "Welcome to T-ball in Ghana. ... Play ball!"
It was only a one-inning game sandwiched around a rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," but it was long enough for Bush to get in the mood.
He sat with a red-shirted team called the Little Saints and cheered the players and their opponents, the Little Dragons.
The Texan had to coax a quiet player in a red hat who was seated at Bush's side.
The child finally smiled when Bush hugged him three times while singing "and it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the 'ol ballgame."
Afterward, Bush handed out presidential baseballs, posed for photos and signed autographs.
