Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu and his assistant coach Hamza Obeng have been validated for this year’s CAF Champions League.
In correspondence from the CAF’s Club Licensing Senior Manager to the GFA General Secretary, CAF listed club’s whose Head Coaches and Assistants cannot be allowed to participate in the competitions.
With the Head Coach and Assistant Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak SC validated, the list did not include Ghana’s representatives for the CAF Champions League.
Thus, following the conclusion of the club licensing process for the CAF Men’s Interclubs 2021/22 season, the correspondence stated that CAF “have the pleasure to share with you a summarized report of the licensed clubs per competition. In addition, please find attached the coaching decisions in line with the coaching requirements established for this season.
“We would like to take this opportunity to commend your continuous efforts in the implementation of club licensing at national level, as we continue the quest for professionalisation of our clubs with solid foundations and to raise the level of our African football”.
Hearts of Oak will play Guinean side CI Kamsar in a one-off match in the preliminary round of the competition.
