The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has added Dr. Randy Abbey to the Black Stars Management Committee following the team’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Communications Director Henry Asante Twum confirmed the decision, which follows a review of the team’s performance after their group-stage exit in the 2023 AFCON. While Mark Addo remains Chairman, Abbey joins alongside Akwesi Agyeman to strengthen the committee.
“Randy Abbey has joined the Black Stars Management Committee,” Asante Twum stated on Asempa FM. Abbey, an Executive Council member of the GFA, also serves as the Management Committee Chairman for the Black Satellites.
The GFA hopes the revised management structure will help address performance issues and improve the national team’s future outcomes.
