This outcome complicates the reigning champions' chances of automatic qualification for the last 16, as they have only managed to win half of their matches in the group stage.

In a post-match interview with Diario AS, Carlo Ancelotti expressed his concerns regarding the team's current performance.

He stated, "We need to be worried because the team has not been in good shape lately. We lack solidity. Our defense is weak, and the team is not compact. We need to improve our compactness and organization."
