Reading, PA -- Chelsea FC of Bronx, NY seems to be away winners at the moment. They
seem to do their best to win away games. On Saturday, 11th October,
Chelsea FC traveled three hours away to play two matches in Reading,
PA. They played against; Africa Soccer Club and Reading United FC.
The first game was between Chelsea FC and Africa Soccer Club which
kicked off at 12:12pm.
What seemed to be a tough game for the away team eventually turned to
their favor as they beat Africa Soccer Club; 4:1. During, the first
half Chelsea FC, Bronx scored a hat trick within the first 20 minutes.
The first Goal was scored By Eric Frimpong aka Abedi through a
wonderful free-Kick. The free-kick was at the center and Abedi kicked
the ball over the opponents without touching any player including the
goal keeper and into the net. What was shocking was that the goal
keeper of Africa Soccer Club was caught frozen in the post. The
second goal was scored by Edward Campbell. It was from a corner kick
that went straight to the net. The third Goal was scoerd by the team's
leading scorer/goal King, a player who has scored in every game that
the team has played this season. His name is; Elhaji Mansaray, a
native of Sierra Leone, West Africa.
During the second half, Chelsea FC, Bronx dominated the game and
scored the fourth gaol through; Mohammed dubbed by the team as the
future Ronaldo Luis Naz?rio De Lima. The goal was a long range with
a thunderous kick.
The opponents; Africa Soccer Club had two penalty kicks but was saved
by the incredible Chelsea keeper, Dennis Boateng. While the game was
not a tough one Chelsea FC players became tired but was very difficult
for the opponents to beat.
Reading United scored the first goal during the first half. Chelsea
FC stayed strong, regained their composure and equalized through an
impressive work by the goal king; Elhaji. Within 28 minutes of the
second half, Reading United FC had a penalty kick in their favor which
they scored. Chelsea's Keeper Dennis Boateng almost saved the ball as
his hand almost touched it. With two minutes remaining, Elhaji had a
chance to equalize but kicked it at right side of the bar. The game
ended with Reading United winning 2:1
Africa Soccer Club had a great player who kept Boateng busy by
bombarding him with lots of powerful shots through corners and at the
front but on each occasion Chelsea's keeper was impressive and saved
the shot.
After Chelsea had completed the first game with Africa Soccer Club
they rested for a few hours and began the second game which kicked off
at 4:05pm with the second team; Reading United.
Alex Kwapong, Chief Executive Officer, is gradually grooming unknown
players with talents from the big apple and around USA to play
professionally and thereby becoming future soccer superstars.
The team coach: Joe Wasa, Ex player in the Ghanaian Premier League is
also working hard in making his team a force to be reckoned with in
the USA. Chelsea FC, Bronx has a busy schedule with many away games
lined up.
