Coronavirus: All sporting facilities undergo fumigation
NSA is fumigating all sporting facilities in the country
All state-owned sporting facilities are undergoing fumigation as part of measures to control the spread of the coronavirus.
Read full article The exercise which is being supervised by the National Sports Authority will see all national stadiums and other sporting facilities being sanitized.
The Accra Sports Stadium was fumigated on March 29 while that of the Cape Coast Stadium was done on Monday, April 6.
According to the NSA, similar exercises will be conducted at the Tamale, Essipong, Kumasi and Sunyani stadia this week.
The NSA says it is working with the MMDAs and RCCs to ensure that no state-owned sports edifice is left out.
While encouraging its workers to work from home, the NSA says it has put in place measures for the running of essential services.
All sporting activities in the country are currently suspended due to the outbreak of the virus.
And the NSA is using the window to clean up its facilities before the league and other major activities resume.
Ghana has so far recorded 287 cases with five deaths.
