Chairman of Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Youth and Culture, Alex Agyekum has asked the Ghana Football Association to show leadership by assisting the government to fight coronavirus pandemic.
Report gathered says that, the English FA and others have donated to support their government respectively in the wake of the disease.
Mr. Agyekum in an interview with Peace FM advised the Ghana FA to emulate football associations that have supported their government in the fight against coronavirus.
“I expect the FA to show leadership by contributing their quota to help government to fight the disease. We know they don’t have money but I think this is the time they the name of the FA must go into the books of the government”
“At the same time, they should also mobilize their players so they can donate to help because the virus is serious and I think government alone cannot do it” he lamented.
