Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide says the government has plans to build a modern stadium in the Eastern Region.
The region has been without a major sports edifice and that has slowed growth.
''We have decided to construct a befitting stadia in some of the regions that do not have to help develop the game and looking at our manifesto, Eastern region is one of the regions we considered to construct a modernize stadium,'' Hadzide told Bryt FM in an interview.
''It will be very necessary to get befitting stadia for Eastern region and we will do it.''
