Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Henry Asante Twum has confirmed that the association has received a week ultimatum from FIFA to appoint new Technical Director.
The GFA Technical Director position remains vacant following the exit of Francis Oti Akenteng.
It is believed that the Ghana FA in their quest to appoint a new director has shortlisted six candidates for interview for the Technical Director position.
According to media reports, the six candidates are made up of three Ghanaians and three expatriates.
Speaking in an interview, Henry Asante said, “Technical Director is something that FIFA recognizes. We are lucky that Oti Akenteng’s contract expired last month ending. FIFA has given us up to next week to name a new Technical Director”.
