On Friday, James Kwasi Appiah touched down at the Kotoka International Airport to a rousing welcome ahead of his official unveiling as coach of the Black Stars for the second time.
Early this month, the Ghana FA named him for a return to the job he left in September 2014 after a search process which involved also involved Frenchman Willy Sagnol and Hugo Broos as candidates for the job.
Appiah who turns 58, on August 9 is set to sign a two-year contract after final deliberations with the Ghana FA top hierarchy this weekend and is expected to begin duties from May 1, 2017.
On arrival just about midday, the immediate-past Al-Khartoum of Sudan coach passed some few remarks to the media about his return to the Black Stars job before heading off to the VIP lounge to meet some GFA officials.
