Former captain of the national U-23 team, the Black Meteors, Mahatma Otoo has shared a video of their triumph at the All Africa Games in Maputo eight years ago.
The Balikersipor attacker remembered how a last gasp equalizer led to the success of his team over South Africa in an enthralling finale.
The Black Meteors were down by a goal for most part of the game and with the clock ticking to end proceedings, Ghana earned a penalty after striker Gilbert Fiamenyo was brought down in the box.
Mahatma Otoo elected himself for the kick, and he expertly converted to send the game into extra time.
The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes, and following the heroics of goalkeeper Daniel Agyei, Ahmed Adams scored the winning penalty to win Ghana gold in Maputo.
Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah was the coach of the team in 2011.
