Outgoing Black Stars Coach Avram Grant has revealed that the infamous rift between former sports minister Nii Lantey Vanderpujie and the GFA affected the team.
Nii Lantey Vanderpujie has a frosty relationship with the hierarchy of the Ghana Football Association during his tenure which Grant believes affected a whole lot of things about the team.
Speaking on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Wednesday, the former Chelsea Boss insists all stakeholders must learn from our past mistakes for the team to get back to its glory days.
“I didn’t want to speak about negative things but it affected the team” I think what happened sometimes there will be disagreement but it should not be to the detriment of the Black Stars, so I hope people will learn from all these issues,” he told Starr FM.
“if Ghana would learn from these lessons, no doubt that there will be able to win laurels,” he added.
