Former Ghana international George Alhassan has criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana’s qualification hopes were dashed after a 1-1 draw with Angola, leaving them in fourth place in Group F.
Alhassan, who won the 1978 AFCON, blamed the GFA for reappointing Otto Addo as coach after the World Cup, questioning their decision-making.
He believes the GFA should take responsibility for the team’s disappointing performance. Ghana will play their final qualifier against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium.
