GPL 2024/25: Kotoko go top after win over Accra Lions

The Porcupine Warriors achieved a 1-0 victory at Len Clay Sports Stadium, thanks to a second-half goal from Albert Amoah, allowing them to surpass Medeama SC in the standings.

Kotoko entered the match following a midweek victory against Nsoatreman in their outstanding matchday two fixture.

From the start, the home team dominated the game and nearly scored in the first half.

However, their attempts were blocked by the Lions' defense, resulting in a 0-0 score at halftime.

Just three minutes into the second half, Prosper Narteh Ogum's team found the breakthrough.

Amoah scored by tapping in after a cross from Saaka Dauda, giving Kotoko the lead.
