Former Inter Allies midfielder Isaac Twum has advocated for the continuation of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season despite calls for the season to be nullified due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It is uncertain whether the football season will continue or not due to the rapid growth of the deadly disease.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) wrote to the Ghana FA to apprise them on their final decision concerning the suspended 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking to Bryt Power Sports, the IK Start combative midfielder said, he hopes the season continue after coronavirus.
“I will be happy if they continue with the league after the virus because if they cancel it, then it means we have gone two seasons without a competitive football in the country”
“I’m sure both coaches, players and club owners will be happy if we continue because clubs cannot go seasons without football yet players will have to take salary” he said.
