The Ghana Football Association has confirmed new Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will take full charge of the local Black Stars.
Appiah was officially appointed on Tuesday on an initial two-year after a Ghana Football Association Executive Committee meeting.
A Ghana FA publication stated: ''Appiah will be handed a two-year contract and will start his duties on 1st May, 2017.He will also take full charge of the Local Black Stars.''
The ex-international must assemble a team for their 2018 CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso in August this year.
Appiah will be assigned two assistant coaches to help him execute his duties as coach of the main national team.
