The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has finally paid the debt owed Spanish coach Gerard Nus for his services to the Black Stars during the 2017 Afcon.
Nus was part of Avram Grant's back room staff during his reign as coach of the Black Stars, and has been staging a sit-in protest in an Accra hotel for his unpaid allowances and bonuses.
After waiting for over a month, SportsObama.com can confirm that the Rayo Vallecano coach has been paid his bonuses, estimated to be $10,000, according to our sources.
Nus, a former backroom staffer at Liverpool under Rafael Benitez, joined Ghana purposely for the 2017 Afcon, which was his second stint following a similar role at the 2015 edition in Equatorial Guinea.
