The Black Stars of Ghana have been dealt a huge blow in the latest Coca Cola FIFA World Rankings due to the defeat to South Africa earlier this month.
In the last international break in the first week of September, Ghana opened its campaign in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as the Stars played the first two fixtures in Group G.
Although Ghana managed to defeat Ethiopia in the first game of the qualifiers, the team suffered a loss to South Africa in the second World Cup qualifier in the qualifiers.
As a result of that defeat, the Ghana national team has dropped one place in the latest Coca Cola FIFA Rankings released by the world football governing body.
The Black Stars are now ranked 53rd in the world and seventh in the Africa rankings.
