Tema (Greater Accra) 12 Jan. '98 Afienya united put up a splendid performance to beat visiting Sekondi Hasaacas 3-2 in their match. It was Afienya who opened the scoring through left full back Edwin Bediako when his free-kick in the 24th minute beat goalkeeper Raymond Fenny in goal for Hasaacas. With veteran Ebo Smith spearheading the attack, Hasaacas changed the tide in their favour and snatched the equalizer in the 33rd minute through a penalty taken by inside left Salifu Babangida. Hasaacas after the goal withdrew goalkeeper Fenny for Joe Mbale. Back from recess, Afienya exhausted their substitution and this paid off as inside left Abdallah Waddadah restored their lead in the 47th minute. Hasaacas fought back galantly and it came as no surprise when left full back Victor Addai put them on level terms through a penalty in the 57th minute. Afienya also bounced back into action and centre forward Ablade Morgan snatched the match winner for them when he connected home substitute Richard Okyere's pass in the 69th minute. gri
