Former Ghana U17 captain Sebastian Barnes recounts how he was sidelined by the outgone Technical director of the Ghana Football Association Francis Oti Akenteng when he approached him last year for an opportunity to manage any of the National youth teams.
Speaking on Sikka Fm sports programme this evening,the 43-year-old said “I feel neglected by the Ghana Football Association as a youth coach”
“I hold Uefa pro license B coaching certificate which is better than CAF license A but I have been neglected by the GFA”
“I came to Ghana last year, went to the GFA secretariat to meet the then GFA technical director, Mr. Oti Akenteng but was told I can’t be offered a job to coach any of the National teams, I cried when I went home”
Mr Oti Akenten managed the technical directorate of the GFA for 14 years but the FA failed to renew his contract when it elapsed last month.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder played for Bayer 04 Leverkusen and FSV Mainz 05 all in the German Bundesliga.
