Asante Kotoko defender Empem Dacosta has revealed how he turned down Medeama SC to join the Kumasi-based club.
According to Dacosta, a call from the former management of club, Mr. Edmund Ackah turned his head in favor of the Porcupine Warriors.
“I had to swerve Medeama for Kotoko, I was in the office of Mr Moses Parker when Mr Edmund Ackah of Kotoko called me,” Dacosta told Kumasi FM
“I quickly left for Kumasi for my medicals and eventually signed for Kotoko.”
Dacosta joined Kotoko on a three-year deal from fellow Premier League side Karela United for their 2019 CAF Champions League campaign.
The defender is likely to join Legon Cities after failing to command a starting place in the team.
