Hearts of Oak striker, Bernard Arthur has said he isn’t a necromancer to perform extremely well while he is being given less playing time at the club.
The former Azam FC forward affirmed that, head coach of the club, Edward Nii Odoom doesn’t know what he wants when it comes to selection of players for a match.
According to him, the trainer selects average players during match days and when the going gets tough that is when he will introduce him on the pitch to turn things around which he sees as disrespect.
“I have worked with many coaches and as a coach, if you don’t want a player, you need to be bold and tell the player either than playing with the mind of the player which isn’t fair. I don’t train with the team, so how do you expect me to get my form? Even Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi can’t get their form if they don’t train,” he said.
"If you don't play regularly it becomes difficult to hit top form. Playing 10 minutes cannot help me to perform well. I had my form in our game against Liberty Professionals after providing an assist and scoring at the same time within just 20 minutes. I was expecting to maintain my place in the team but he dropped to the bench against Kotoko."
