Former cruiserweight champion, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, has laughed off claims that he was rushed to hospital after he was knocked out by Samir Bastie last Saturday.
The then undefeated champion suffered a deep-cut in his right eye area when he was knocked down by Bastie in the 7th round in a thrilling encounter that was dubbed ‘Make or Break’ at the Bukom Arena in Accra.
Rumours surfaced that Banku who had promised to knock Bastie out in the six round, had been rushed to hospital for treatment of the injury he suffered.
But he has denied the claim, noting that though he felt pains all over his body, he was never rushed to the hospital as being rumoured.
“I felt pains all over my body but I never went to the hospital.
I’ve never been to the hospital before throughout my lifetime.
Bastie didn’t do me anything,” he claimed.
According to him, Bastie didn’t hurt him that much for him to be rushed to hospital. A rematch is expected to take place on March 6, 2018 at a venue to be determined by Bastie.
