Ghana and Red Star Belgrade star Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has told GHANAsoccernet.com that he will be ready for Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Sudan later this month despite reports indicating that he will miss the game due to injury.
The 27-year old picked up an injury in the Belgrade derby last weekend.
The former Juventus forward came off the pitch with concerns raised as to whether he will be fit in time for the double header.
GHANAsoccernet.com contacted the player at his base on his injury situation and he said “It was just a knock and I am currently recuperating”.
“I cried when I was taken off because I wanted to give my all to the team in the derby against Partizan which is the biggest game in Serbia. I didn’t cry because of the injury”.
“For now I am feeling better and I will be ready for the AFCON qualifier against Sudan”.
