Ashanti Gold SC defender Eric Donkor has revealed that he will gladly avail himself for a Coronavirus test ahead of league resumption.
The pandemic has led to the suspension of all football leagues in the country, leaving players with no option than to engage themselves in individual training sessions to keep themselves fit.
The National Sports Authority under the directive of government has decided to give the green light to non-contact sports to begin training ahead of a potential return.
The return of the topflight remains uncertain with opinions divided as to whether it should be continued or canceled but Donkor reveals he is ever ready to take a test to ease the fears.
“It won’t be out of place if we(AshantiGold Players) are tested of Covid-19, I will gladly avail myself for such testing especially where we are located and the numbers we are recording. Our health is very important," Eric Donkor told Oyerepa FM.
The 2019/20 Premier League was at its match week 15 stage when it was halted with Aduana Stars leading the table with 28 points.
