Black Stars Coach Otto Addo has dismissed calls for his resignation following the team’s 2-1 defeat to Niger in their final Group F match.
Addressing criticism, Addo reaffirmed his commitment, emphasizing his journey to becoming a coach and his resilience against external pressure.
“I’m not someone who resigns. My journey to this position has been too challenging for me to quit under pressure,” he stated.
Addo acknowledged the team’s struggles but highlighted positive performances and urged the media and fans to support the players instead of placing blame.
He also called for unity and peace as the nation approaches the December polls.
“The media can shape narratives beyond results. Let’s support the players; they gave their all,” he appealed.
