Aston Villa wideman Albert Adomah has been ruled out of the side's English Championship opening league match against Hull City on Saturday.
Adomah suffered a nasty collision during side's pre-season friendly win over Telford United two weeks ago.
The Ghanaian suffered a gash to his left shin and has not been involved in training.
The 29-year-old has had four stitches in his shin as a result of the challenge, while he has also strained ligaments in the back of his knee.
He has been ruled out of the clash at the Villa Park in Birmingham.
