Versatile Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom is itching to return to action for Portuguese side Boavista after serving a one-match suspension.
The right-back defender, 26, will be available for selection in Amando Gonçalves Teixeira’s squad as they face a daunting challenge at Sporting CP during the weekend.
Inkoom watched his team-mates manage a smooth 2-0 victory over Academica Coimbra on Sunday to record their second win in five games and hold down a place in the middle of the game.
“I can’t wait to join my team mate for this weekend game,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
Boavista will be seeking for positive results at Sporting after failure to record against the giants in their last five games.
“It will be great game this weekend but if we take our chances we are going to win,” he added.
Sporting share the top-spot of the Primeira Liga table with giants FC Porto and are yet to taste defeat since the start of the season.
Boavista’s best results against the former title-winners remain a couple of draws interspersed with defeats in their last 15 games.
Their last win against Sporting came as far as January 2008.
