Ghanaian international, Joseph Paintsil will know whether he is staying put at KRC Genk this summer or he will be moving on by the close of Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
The exciting attacker joined the Belgian Jupiler Pro League outfit from Ghanaian club Tema Youth Football Club in 2018.
Although he enjoyed the first few years at the club, he lost his place in the team last season and had to be sent on loan in the Turkish Super Lig where he played for MKE Ankaragücu.
Although the Turkish club wanted to re-sign him for this season, a deal has yet to be finalised with Genk.
As a result, Joseph Paintsil has been with the Belgian club since the new football season commenced.
While it is unclear whether he is in the plans of the club’s first-team head coach, he has been training very hard.
With the transfer window in Turkey expected to close on Wednesday night, the 23-year-old is waiting patiently to know his faith.
Sources are reporting that there are a few clubs interested in his service and hoping to sign him on loan.
On the other hand, Genk believes if they keep him, he will provide options to help the team in the quest to win the Pro League this season.
