Assistant coach of Karela United, Mallam Yahaya is calling for the continuation of the Ghana Premier League following the return of some European Leagues.
The ex-New Edubiase gaffer wants government and the FA to come out with measures and guidelines for the return of football.
“Some people want the league cancelled but for me I want it to be continued,” he is quoted as saying by footballmadeinghana.com.
“I was expecting the Covid-19 pandemic to delay the restart of the European league. But they are back playing.
“The government and FA should just put the measure to allow football to return. Washing hands, using sanitizers and after training wash your hands again.
“Now the fear is not as it use to before and movement is going on like nothing has happened. Why can’t we play?,” he quizzed.
The 2019/20 season was brought to a halt following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the West African nation.
