The National Chapters Council (NCC) of Asante Kotoko has revealed plans to raise funds to help the club solve their financial crisis.
In the past they have made immense monetary contributions that has gone a long way to help.
The notable monetary contribution from the fans came when the club wanted to sign Charles Taylor from Hearts of Oak.
In an interview with Sikka FM, National organizer for the NCC, Kwabena Agyei disclosed the plans they have to support the club.
“The NCC-Exco have planned to raise seed money upon which we will appeal to our teeming supporters to contribute via a Mobile Money account to support the club in these difficult financial times and the money will be given directly to the club's chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei”.
Kotoko is currently in hot waters after being instructed by FIFA to pay $240,000 in relation to the unlawful signing of striker Emmanuel Clottey from Esperance de Tunis.
They have been given up to May 10, 2020, to make the payment or they will receive additional punishment.
Some management members of the club are calling on supporters to contribute money to aid the club settle the imposed amount of money.
